About Collective Security Mindset

At Collective Security Mindset, we bridge the gap between technical security and humanitarian efforts. Our mission is to empower individuals and organizations through shared knowledge and robust defense strategies. We are currently expanding our efforts to support the documentation and registration of human rights violations globally, ensuring that evidence is preserved and justice is made possible through meticulous digital investigation.

Collaboration Scope

As a Co-Author, you will work alongside our Lead Researcher to:

  • Synthesize Complex Data: Turn raw survey data and OSINT findings into compelling, readable narratives.

  • Draft & Refine Chapters: Take ownership of specific sections, such as "The Cognitive Biases of Phishing" or "Building Cultures of Transparency."

  • Literature Review: Identify and integrate academic studies on behavioral economics and social psychology into a modern cybersecurity context.

  • Case Study Development: Deep-dive into recent high-profile breaches to extract the "human" lessons learned.

  • Peer Review: Provide critical feedback on the manuscript to ensure technical accuracy and a consistent "CSM voice."

Who You Are

  • A Master of the "Hook": You can explain a Zero Trust architecture in a way that makes sense to a CEO, but you prefer writing about why people click the link anyway.

  • Research Obsessed: You aren't satisfied with surface-level stats; you want to find the "missing link" in the data.

  • Vibe-Aligned: You appreciate a touch of wit and a grounded, candid approach to professional writing. No "corporate-speak" allowed.

  • Disciplined: You can manage your own deadlines and handle iterative feedback loops without losing momentum.

The "Must-Haves"

  • Proven experience in technical or academic writing (Cybersecurity, Psychology, or Sociology preferred).

  • Ability to translate formulas or complex data visualizations into clear prose.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates an ability to tell a story through data.

What’s In It For You?

  • Full Credit: Your name on the cover and in the metadata as an official Co-Author.

  • Industry Authority: Solidify your position as a thought leader in the "Human Layer" of security.

  • Network Access: Connect with the CSM ecosystem of researchers, social engineers, and defense experts.

How to Apply

We value your perspective as much as your grammar. Please send your CV and one writing sample (under 1,000 words) that demonstrates your ability to make a technical subject engaging.

This booklet lists key best practices for stages before, during and after arrest, based on the experiences of over 230 Iranian activists. @united4iran

For human rights activists, digital safety is a lifeline, not just a protocol. We provide trauma-informed security and discreet risk mitigation tailored for high-threat environments, moving beyond standard corporate training to protect those on the front lines. From secure communications to digital footprint protection, we bridge the gap between your vital mission and the security required to pursue it safely, ensuring your resilience matches your message.

Digital Evidence Standardization

This protocol is prepared via the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in collaboration with the Human Rights Center at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. Professional frameworks designed to establish global standards for the identification, collection, and preservation of digital open-source intelligence. These resources provide investigators and human rights defenders with a rigorous methodology to ensure that digital evidence—from social media captures to satellite imagery—meets the high threshold of international legal accountability and judicial scrutiny.

Digital Testimony & Accountability

This resource is prepared via the University of Essex Human Rights Centre and Oxford University Press. An authoritative framework for transforming digital footprints into high-impact evidence for human rights advocacy. This specialized guidance provides investigators with the skills to harness social media, satellite imagery, and big data to document violations, ensuring that digital testimonies are verified with the rigor required to hold perpetrators accountable in the global arena.
